Media Release: Bluestone Recruitment offers a new apprenticeship and traineeship division

Catriona Pollard - Tuesday, December 08, 2009
Bluestone Recruitment extends their recruitment services to offer a new division specialising in apprentice and trainee hire to help businesses solve ongoing skills shortages and provide a cost effective solution for hiring staff.

Anita Radisic, Bluestone Recruitment’s Office & Executive Manager, said: “Our new apprenticeship and traineeship division will focus on reducing the hassle businesses go through in the process of sourcing, training and developing entry level staff.”

“Organisations often find it difficult to manage the information exchange between trainees, Registered Training Organisations and relevant government bodies. The new service aims to take on this responsibility on behalf of the organisation.”

“Organisations are often not willing to take on an apprentice or trainee in case of a downturn leaving the organisation with extra commitments. If a business is no longer able to commit to a trainee we will find another organisation that can.”

“Job seekers often find it difficult to find an appropriate traineeship or apprenticeship. This new division aims to help make more apprenticeships and traineeship positions become available.”

“We are looking forward to helping source the best potential apprentices and trainees for an organisation as well as the best traineeship or apprenticeship for jobseekers,” said Ms Radisic.

The apprenticeship and training division offers assistance to organisations through developing training plans, sourcing and liaising with appropriate organisations and organising and delivering training.

Media Release: Total Recruitment Group receives OHS certification

Catriona Pollard - Monday, October 26, 2009
The Total Recruitment Group (TRG) has been awarded ISO 20000 certification with the standard AS/NZS 4801:2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.

TRG’s Group OHS Manager, Troy Ready said: “This certification is a huge achievement for TRG as we are one of only a few Australian recruiters to be certified with this level of OHS accreditation.”

“We are extremely proud to be recognised for our commitment to the prevention of injuries and our dedication to ensuring the safety of TRG employees at all times.”

The process for TRG to achieve accreditation involved an assessment of TRG’s procedures against a specific standard by an independent, accredited OHS auditor.

TRG was required to not only develop a management system that met each element of the standard but to demonstrate that safety is managed centrally by an OHS team and Group Manager.

“Our robust OHS system ensures we are best managing the risks our employees are exposed to when working in a client workplace. We have successfully decreased our injury rates by 85% and doubled the reporting of hazards and incidents.”

“This new accreditation demonstrates that regardless of where our employees are working there is consistency and commitment in the way we manage employee safety.”

“We build a strong partnership with our clients to address all matters affecting health and safety and in the process have improved the safety for our employees and those of our clients,” said Mr Ready.

The process demands that all procedures are implemented consistently in each branch. Each branch must demonstrate these OHS procedures are being implemented locally.

This certification provides TRG with a distinct market advantage and proves their longstanding commitment to the safety of all employees under their care.
